Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cellular Pet Salon In San Jose

Rachel Murphy has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, Toto , went through last weekend. Rachel says that a hairdresser taped Toto r's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Toto r became bloody and upset.

Rachel recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Toto r’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Wow! My Dog, a mobile pet salon.

Rachel rushed Toto to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

Rachel described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Marianna De las Vegas - a Wow! My Dog client - posted a Yelp comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.

Wow! My Dog wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. Rachel revealed, "Juliann informed that it was acceptable to check here tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."

Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. She quickly responded that Wow! My Dog was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
